More about me...

Hi, my name is Winda, aka the Dutch quilter, ( before that : the Dutch girl ), I am a 35 Y.O. SAHM to my precious little 3,5 y.o. girl which I always call my princess. I am married and I live in the Netherlands ( hence the name Dutch Quilter )
I have 2 cats which I love to hate, lol.
Patchwork and Quilting are things I always wanted to learn and do but never dared to... till my mom made me promise I would give it a go and see what comes from it. My mom died shortly after that and last summer I plunched into the deep and went to my first quilt-course. I was hooked for life after only 1 class, lol!
A good friend of mine lives in America and she is a quilter too, since a couple of months we swap blocks with each other and I love it! I never had thought that I could love sewing so much! I looooooooooooove to do paper piecing projects and I have already downloaded tons of patterns from the internet.

Making quilts isn't the only thing I do, I also create bags and now that I have the EQ6 program I also try my hand on designing my own quilts.
The bag pattern that I created myself is the one I use for making the "kiddy-packs and I am proud to say that it looks great according to others because there are people who ordered a kiddy pack for their little girl.
I also created some potholder patterns in logcabin style. Yep, I think I have to much time on my hand, lol!

A couple of good friends of mine are creative too, but not on the quilting front, one is more a jewelry maker. ( ( She made me a couple of wonderful necklaces and bracelets )and the other is a designer for Scrapgirls.com ( a website for digital scrappers , one of my other hobby's )

I am the kind of person who gives everything a name, my car is called "vanpuffelen" and I am currently looking for the perfect name for my sewing machine, lol. It displays how silly I sometimes can be.

Anyway, enough about me for now, I will update this part if there is anything to tell you....
go have a look at all the other stuff on the website and have fun!
